New Center Stamping is a minority-owned manufacturer of service part stampings and medium to large Class A metal parts and assemblies for cars and trucks that are not in current production. The 1920s Albert Kahn facility is located in the New Center area. Based on the strength of the business and the opportunity to take on more business from all of the auto companies, New Center Stamping management made the decision to install a 180” press line at significant cost, which was partially financed by a Detroit Investment Fund loan. Through the addition of the new press line, the company expects to increase its revenues over the next three years. This additional work will add 70 new jobs bringing the total number of employees to 180.
