The 711 Alexandrine Building in Midtown will undergo a complete rehabilitation. The four-story brick structure built in 1923 had been functionally obsolete with 56 extremely small units (350 to 550 SF). The building will be converted into 35 one-bedroom, market-rate residential apartments. The average unit size will be 675 SF. Project completion is anticipated in late 2015. Invest Detroit’s Predevelopment Loan Fund assisted the developer with acquisition costs.
